For our client, one of the absolute return/hedge fund managers overseeing assets on behalf of institutional investors from around the world, including pension funds, endowments, government agencies, private banks and fund of funds. We are looking for a HR Manager/Generalist, to support the HR Director and assist with the day-to-day HR operations and employment lifecycle for the expanding global investment management & new business client groups.

Your Responsibilities

  • Assist in administration of employee benefits ensuring employees receive the appropriate documentation on a timely basis
  • Assist with annual renewal/RFP process of employee benefit schemes
  • Monitor / Audit monthly invoicing and reports & employee data
  • Maintain & update employee records (HR files and HRIS system)
  • Maintain joiner & leaver history, diarise & monitor key employment dates, filing appropriate documentation
  • Prepare post-meeting file notes
  • Follow appropriate checklist procedures for all stages of hire, from recruitment, induction, probation to termination
  • Assist in provision of regular management reporting
  • Provide full senior generalist support and employee relations
  • Manage any disciplinary or grievance cases, as required, and oversee the process (if certain responsibilities are delegated) to ensure that any associated risks are minimised
  • Manage the process of any staff leaving the company, as required, including by reason of redundancy and negotiate terms of compromise agreements as appropriate. Review all associated documentation
  • Prepare monthly payroll data for submission to the payroll provider
  • Maintain and update central HR administrative processes, policies & procedures in line with local requirements
  • Prepare and negotiate recruiter terms, as required
  • Co-ordinate scheduling of interviews
  • Prepare roles specifications in conjunction with line managers
  • Prepare contractual documentation for prospective employees
  • Co-ordinate pre-employment screening and monitor completion
  • Manage the relocation of employees to the Geneva office and obtain appropriate work permit, as applicable
  • Provide accurate recruitment updates & staff movements report
  • Monitor completion of continuing professional development (CPD) and pro-actively identify relevant courses
  • Manage the coordination of in-house training programmes & prepare training plans
  • Manage the induction process for new hires, ensuring receipt of appropriate documentation and information regarding the business
  • Assist in co-ordination of annual performance review and appraisal process, tracking meeting dates and relevant documentation, monitoring completion
  • Assist in preparation of benchmarking data & correspondence for salary review and award process

Your Profile

  • Minimum BA degree
  • > 5 years generalist HR experience
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the finance sector
  • Excellent working knowledge of Swiss employment legislation
  • CIPD full membership status
  • Excellent Microsoft Office administration skills (Excel, Word intermediate to advance level)
  • Ability to establish and update high level spreadsheets and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of using HRIS systems
  • Evidence of excellent administrative skills
  • High focus on attention to detail
  • Well organised, able to manage conflicting workloads
  • Proactive self starter
  • Enthusiastic, team player and flexible
  • Excellent communicator in french and english
